How to complete Destiny 2 Iron Banner daily challenges (2024)

New Destiny 2 Iron Banner challenges have arrived, challenging you to play matches and use Arc, Solar, and Void Supers to blow up your fellow Guardians. With Destiny 2 The Final Shape, Lord Saladin's challenges for Iron Banner have had a bit of a shakeup. In fact, the whole Crucible event in Destiny 2 has, as now it's two weeks long and will feature Control in the first week and Tribute in the second week. There are now two weekly challenges in Iron Banner that update nearly every day of the event – one for simply completing matches and one for earning points while using Supers of a specified element. You can view your challenge progress by hovering over the Iron Banner icon on the Crucible page and holding down L2/LT to expand the challenge box. Here's how the revamped Iron Banner challenges work in Destiny 2:

• Complete Iron Banner matches: Win or lose, you just need to get to the end of three matches to complete this challenge. It can be complete four times over the course of a single Iron Banner event to massively increase your Iron Banner Reputation modifier.
• Earn 50 points in Iron Banner with either Arc, Solar, or Void Super elements: Equip a Super ability that matches with one of the three specified damage types, then play matches. As far as I can tell, earning points basically means getting kills and participating in matches. This challenge can be completed eight times over the course of a single Iron Banner event, and you get a Pinnacle Iron Banner loot drop each time you complete it.

So basically, complete Iron Banner matches using an appropriate Super ability and you'll be raking in the loot, levelling up Lord Saladin's reputation, and getting some Pinnacles along the way. You can also select the Iron Banner activity node and hover your cursor over the reputation icon to check your current rank multiplier.

As mentioned, these weekly challenges update every day for the first few days of the event with new goals, letting you complete the challenges multiple times to get more rewards. These updates are automatic and happen with the daily reset. You can even wait until the weekend rolls around and you should have all parts of the challenge waiting to be completed if you want to get them all done in one go. It's also important to note that these Iron Banner daily challenges and their rewards are character-based, not account-based, so you can get even more Iron Banner loot on your other characters.
